Ryder Cup Team USA Complete as Mercedes-Benz Readies its Rides For Medinah

Now that the Ryder Cup team is complete with Captain Davis Love III choosing his final four picks, it's time to make history – a subject that golf and one of the sport's biggest global supporters Mercedes-Benz know quite well.  Mercedes-Benz, the inventor of the automobile 126 years ago, is gearing up to produce a fan experience at the Ryder Cup like no other including a hole-in one challenge and a PGA Performance Center highlighting the very best in technology from both the automotive and golf industries. The 6,000 sq. foot fan experience is complete with state-of-the-art g-PUTT technology for fans' to test their putting prowess and a display of 2013 vehicles including the all-new GL-Class and the Concept Style Coupé.

The 2013 redesigned GLK will serve as the vehicle to win for those Ryder Cup spectators wishing to test their skills on the Performance Drive Hole-In One Challenge.   Located just inside the main gate is the 16th hole on Medinah #1, a 150-yard par 3 with a green positioned over water.   Open to all those attending the Ryder Cup, each guest can take one shot per day from Tuesday-Sunday.

Beyond showcasing the all-new 2013 GL-Class and SL-Class, golf enthusiasts will be immersed in an educational golf experience at the PGA Performance Center, including complimentary putting analysis from a PGA Professional using the same system favored by professional, or swing simulator that uses strobe photo to capture every aspect from address to follow through. 

Car enthusiasts will also have the chance to imagine what is next for the future of Mercedes-Benz vehicles by getting a glimpse of its Concept Style Coupé, a 4-door coupe that is expressive and powerful in its design.  Technical highlights include striking headlamps featuring innovative indicators, a new four-cylinder turbocharged gas engine with 211 hp and 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.  Overall, the Concept Style Coupé is a rebel with its sporty breathtaking proportions and aggressive stance that are unique in many ways to give this coupé its unmistakable look. 

On Thursday, September 27th from 2-3pm, the PGA Performance Center hosts an autograph session with Mercedes-Benz ambassador Bernhard Langer, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and eleven European Ryder Cup teams.
